Programs

Got Kids? Kids Boat Build Sail Program will work with other associated intercity programs, to bring children in from various areas of Los Angeles County and surrounding Counties.

Every youth participating will have the choice of building a sailboat or soapbox derby.

All participating youth will be supervised by an adult at all times, as each child will be paired with an instructor during both the building process and sailing lessons.

The sailboat comes in a kit so the participants will not handle any dangerous tool, and will be instructed on safety-first tips before the start of the building process.

Once the boats and soapbox cars are completed each youth will be thoroughly trained in the operation of their vessel and prepared to participate in races, where they will compete against their peers coming from various backgrounds and very different areas of the city!

It is our goal to raise the level of self-esteem, implement leadership skills and encourage the concept of team, through fun and exciting, healthy outdoor physical activity!
